About us In 1998 together with our Kayin (Karen), Shan and Thai friends we started nature, cultural and study tours in Thailand with the name "Trek Thailand". We built the web site www.trekthailand.net to represent our company and deliver information.
In the year 1999 we began providing travel services in Myanmar, our home land, bringing international visitors to
the most popular destinations: Yangon, Bagan and southern Shan state (Inle lake).
Later our area of operation has been expanded to include almost all permitted areas inside Myanmar. Since then we have sent many foreign tourists to the places such as Myitkyina (capital of Kachin state), Muse in northern Shan state (border town with China's Yunnan), Monywa and the Chindwin river in the upper Sagaing division, Ngapali beach and Mrauk U, Chin state, Ngwe Saung beach, and so on. With associates we now offer tours in Laos and Cambodia as well. We are 100% privately owned and run by independent Myanmar (Burmese) nationals. We normally custom-design the tour program to suit the likes and dis-likes of the visitors (our friends) and the various situations such as the roads, the flights, weather, etc. in the country. In this web site there are few sample travel itineraries which can be used as examples. In all our trips we encourage and help our guests to communicate with the local people of the places they visit. Human relation is one of many important things we can create in tourism. Most small private group trips we have operated are cultural, leisure, photography and arts related, historical and heritage as well as for experience and education. Some trips included soft adventure activities like nature trek, monority ethnic hilltribe village home or monastery stay, mountain climbing, and private boat trips in rivers. Most of our old clients are families and friends (small individual groups). We also warmly welcome small and large groups of friends, students, company employees, senior citizens, and everyone.
