Crater of Mt Popa. When it erupted long time ago the crater was cut opened and now seen as a C-shape hole with thick forest in it, giving a habitat for wild pig, monkey and other animals. The best time to explore the crater is in the summer time (from January to May). In the photo (taken August 2001) the crater was partly covered by clouds. |
