Descent of Mt Popa

Going down from the summit of Mt Popa. As it was when climbing, we did not see more than 50 meters due to the clouds. Anyway we were lucky there was no rain during our entire trip to Popa mountain (August 2001). The air was very fresh and cool and windy. Apart from a small group of locals we did not see any other tourists.

Popa still have quite a healthy amount of forest with birds, butter-flies, flowering plants and a pine forest at 1000 meters and above. However there was a road building project going on (2001) along the mountain.
