A retired timber elephant in a sanctuary, Taungoo

MTE (Myanmar Timber Enterprise) has about 3000 elephant workers. They have to retire at an old age when they are unable to do their works properly. MTE provides sanctuary for these retired timber elephants with food and medical care. This elephant is 66-year old and spending its final time at Po Kay Camp near Taungoo town.
