An ordinary people's struggle for life survival on the Ayeyarwaddy river

She might be just 30 years old. But she looked much older than her age. She waded through water to approach the arriving passenger boat from Mandalay to sell her food stuff. She had to compete with other sellers to catch attention and get her food sold for a small price. The seriousness and worry clearly seen on her sun-burn face tell us that it is the struggle for survival - may be for her whole family. Her monthly income might be just a fraction of our daily earning. While we have Internet for granted for information, communication and business she has just her hands and feet plus probably a pair of thin rubber slippers to face the life challenges when she wakes up in her bamboo mat each morning...
