Yangon Shwedagon pagoda in 1950's

Shwedagon pagoda in Yangon in 1950's. It is one of the highlights of all package tours to Yangon. The 98 meters (326 feet) high pagoda built on a hill is believed to be one of the earliest pagodas of Gautama Buddha era. It had been built on the Singottara hill more than 2500 years ago.
