Timber logs arrive Yangon by train

Timber logs arrive Yangon by train. Timber trees are extracted in the forests of middle and upper country, and a great part of them are sent to Yangon by train or by river (forming rafts). A portion of woods is sent to local factories to manufacture wooden products. Domestically produced finished or semi-finished products are mainly for sales within the country. Nearly all exports are logs.
