High way bus station - Yangon

Highway bus station at "Saw-Bya-Gyi-Gone" only about 4 km from the Yangon airport, in the northern part of Yangon. Here there are both airconditioned and non-airconditioned buses leaving for many destinations such as Bagan, Meikhtila, Mandalay, Kalaw, Heho, Taunggyi, Kyaikhtiyo, Mawlamyaing, etc. Normally almost all buses going long distance (such as to Bagan, Mandalay and Shan state) leave Yangon in the afternoon and arrive at their final destinations in the next day morning.

In the low season you can buy the ticket at the Yangon highway bus station. To know the bus companies' phone numbers please ask for a Business guide or yellowpages at your hotel. The phone number of Saw-Bya-Gyi-Gone Bus station is 665 548.
