Tours - 8 Days 7 Nights Yangon, Sittwe and Mrauk U 8 Days 7 Nights Yangon Sittwe, Mrauk U, a trip to far north of Rakhine state, the ruins of old Kingdom, take a boat ride on the clean and quiet river that come down from the mountains
Day 1: Arive Yangon
You should arrive Yangon in the morning, if not it is still fine. Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. After the introduction go for the city tour to see the lives and sounds of people, pagodas, river jetty, the markets and in the evening Shwedagon pagoda, very famous 109 meter high gold plated stupa built on a hill in the center of city. Overnight hotel in Yangon. Day 2: To Sittwe Breakfast at hotel. Free time until transfer to the airport for the flight to Sittwe (may be at mid-day). Visit sea products wholesales market, rice-noodle and fish cracker produing houses. Have sunset scene at the sea at the view point. Overnight hotel in Sittwe, capital of Rakhine state. Day 3: to Mrauk U by river Breakfast at hotel, and transfer to the boat jetty. Take a private boat on the Kissipanadi (Kaladan) river to Mrauk U the city of former Rakhine Kings. The up river trip is one of Myanmar's most scenic river routes. Depending water level, it takes 5 to 6 hours on rivers to get to Mrauk U. Upon arrival car transfer to the hotel. In the evening you will visit a couple of old temples in Mrauk U. Most of the temples were built in tunnel (cave) structure during the years 1430 to 1784 AD. Parts of old palace walls are visible. Several temples are in their original forms. Overnight hotel in Mrauk U. Day 4: Mrauk, Vasali (Vesali) and Dhanawaddy Breakfast at hotel. Full day excursion ruins of old cities; Mrauk U, Vasali and Dhanawaddy. Visit of old temples and other historic monuments. Overnight hotel in Mrauk U. 
Day 5: Along Lay Myo river
Breakfast at hotel. Whole day excursion to upper reach of Lay Myo river. Visit Rakhine and Chin villages. Some villages are still in their very old traditional ways of living. Visit Sin Gay village where some Chin ladies have tatoos on their faces. This is also where bamboo rafts are assembled for drifting down the river for sale. Back to Mrauk U in the evening for overnight. Day 6: To Sittwe Breakfast at hotel. Take a private boat down to Sittwe. Ride on smaller rivers for a couple of hours before entering the Kissipanadi river where the boat will take you downstream southward to Sittwe. Upon arrival car transfer to hotel in Sittwe. Overnight hotel in Sittwe. Day 7: Breakfast at hotel. In the morning you will have a boat trip to a light house and a fishing village at Lay Shan Taung island at the mouth of Kissipanadi river. Back to hotel and transfer to the airport for a flight to Yangon. Car transfer to hotel for overnight. Day 8: Departure Breakfast at hotel. Free time until we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. Remarks We can provide domestic flights, air-conditioned tour car or bus, boat, local guides, hotel booking service, meals and sightseeing for this trip. The program can be changed to suit your requirement and according to the local situations. For example you can add an extension to Ngapali beach. |
