A part of our 12 days hike in Putao, Kachin state, northern Myanmar in which we hiked on the snow ridge and surveyed the route to 4600 meter Madwe peak.
Three Rawan natives were trail readers/porters. On one day we came out of our highland camp and walked in the snow for nearly 6 hours before returning.
It was snowing and visibility was quite low.

The hike to Madwe mountain is hard and strenuous. There are river crossings, stone hoppings, hike along the creeks,
going up and down many times, and several scramblings. Near the rivers and in low elevations ticks are problems.
When wet leeches would also come.
